September is Hunger Action Month, and at Soylent, we’re committed to making a positive impact on our communities. That’s why we're excited to announce that for every bottle of Soylent purchased in September, we will donate a meal to a Feeding America partner food bank through our #SoylentForGood program.

Our Commitment to Fighting Hunger 

Food insecurity is a serious issue affecting millions of Americans. We believe everyone deserves access to complete, sustainable nutrition, regardless of their circumstances. That’s why Soylent has a longstanding commitment to giving back to communities in need. 

Our #SoylentForGood program partners with food banks across the country, including the Northern Illinois Food Bank, the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the Hollywood Food Coalition, and the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, to distribute nutritious meals to those who need them most. While our primary form of donation is product, we also provide cash donations to support the vital work of these organizations. Food banks use these funds to purchase additional food and resources, maximizing the impact of every dollar. 

Making a Measurable Impact 

We’re dedicated to transparency and accountability. While we’ll be donating the equivalent of one meal for every bottle sold in September, the total number of meals donated will be calculated and shared at the end of the year, all donations will be made in the 2024 calendar year.  

This will allow us to provide a comprehensive overview of our impact and recognize the organizations that have partnered with us to make a difference.

What is the Soylent Buy One, Give One program?

For the entire month of September, Soylent is committed to giving back to our community. With every meal purchased, Soylent will donate one meal to a Feeding America food bank through our #SoylentForGood partnership.

What constitutes a "meal" for the Buy One, Give One program?

A "meal" is defined as:

• One bottle (11oz or 14oz) of Soylent Complete Meal, Complete Protein, or Complete Coffee, Complete Energy
• One 400 calorie serving of Soylent Complete Meal Powder

• One serving of Soylent Complete Meal Powder

How will Soylent donate the meals?

Soylent will donate the equivalent of one meal for every meal purchased during the month of September. This donation will take the form of a physical bottle of Soylent, a serving of Complete Meal Powder, or a financial contribution to a Feeding America food bank partner, as determined by the food bank's needs.

When will the donated meals be distributed?

All meals donated through the Buy One, Give One program will be distributed within the 2024 calendar year.

How is the number of donated meals calculated?

The total number of meals donated will be based on the number of meals sold between 12:01 AM PT on September 1st and 11:59 PM PT on September 30th.

Which Feeding America food banks will benefit from the program?

Soylent will partner with select Feeding America food banks as part of our #SoylentForGood initiative.

Can I choose which food bank receives my donated meal?

Unfortunately, you cannot specify which food bank will receive your donated meal. However, all donations will support Feeding America food banks working to alleviate hunger in communities across the United States.
